I hope we have been able to create a programme that has something to offer everyone with shows to inspire you, your friends and family. It is important to us here at Rhodes that we cater for all of our audiences, and you will see this season is packed with music, comedy, drama, family shows, dance and film to entertain you. January is film month, with plenty of Live screenings including The King And I from London’s West End, the Andre Rieu concert from Sydney, Alan Bennett’s latest play, Allelujah! and as part of our Go Wilde season, A Woman Of No Importance from the Vaudeville Theatre to name but a few. For lovers of live music, we are thrilled to be hosting jazz icon Jacqui Dankworth, the timeless Pasadena Roof Orchestra and the UK’s number 1 swing band, The Jive Aces, as well as a packed programme of the finest Tributes including Marvin Gaye, Buddy Holly, Little Mix and Purple Zeppelin. We are thrilled with our children’s offer this season with something for all ages, including Horrible Histories, The Amazing Bubble Man, The Tiger Who Came To Tea, Michael Morpugo’s An Elephant In The Garden as well as a host of musical productions. For mums with teeny tots, we are presenting for the first time a magical, multi- sensory experience, NEST for babies and toddlers. If you like a laugh, Rich Hall kicks off our comedy season, followed by the irrepressible Gyles Brandreth, and Angus Deayton takes to the stage with the award winning Radio 4 show, Radio Active. Thank you all for your continuing support and friendly feedback. We look forward to welcoming familiar faces, and hopefully some new as 2019 takes off! Happy Browsing!
